Job description

Academic Appointments are working with Wakefield primary schools who are currently looking for full-time/part-time teachers to work as part of a dedicated and resourceful KS2 team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), gifted and talented pupils, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.
  • Manage pupil behaviour effectively, promoting high standards of conduct and fostering a respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and the wider school community.
  • Uphold the school’s values, policies, and procedures.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils.

To be considered for the role the requirements are:

  • Hold a teaching assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
