Job summary

Connex Education in Portishead is seeking a passionate KS2 Teacher to join our network of primary schools. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS2, creating an inclusive classroom where pupils build confidence and essential skills.

This flexible role offers day-to-day and longer placements with immediate start, paid between £140 and £220 per day. You will receive dedicated support from your education consultant and access to professional development resources.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience teaching KS2 in primary schools.
• Strong knowledge of KS2 curriculum.
• Excellent communication and classroom management.
• Commitment to equality, inclusion and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across KS2.
• Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and enjoyment of learning.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils’ learning and development.
