Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a KS2 Teacher for Years 3–6 at a trusted local primary school in the UK. This is a full-time, temporary (fixed-term) position paying on MPS/UPS scales, daily rate £140–£233, with weekly payments.

The role supports learners aged 7–11, focuses on high-quality lesson delivery, mastery, SATs preparation, and collaborative planning within a Year Group team. QTS required; DBS Update Service; strong curriculum knowledge and engaging class leadership.

Qualifications

  • QTS mandatory; ECTs/NQTs encouraged.
  • Strong understanding of KS2 framework and assessment markers.
  • Ability to manage a class of 30+ with energy and focus.
  • DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum with a focus on narrowing attainment gaps in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Use formative assessment and mock data to identify student needs and provide targeted interventions.
  • Support Year 3 students transitioning from Infants or Year 6 moving to secondary.
  • Maintain proactive communication with families to support pupil growth.

Key Stage 2 is the engine room of primary education. We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teacher (Year 3 to Year 6) to join a forward:thinking school team. Your Role as an Academic Mentor

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you are responsible for fostering critical thinking and resilience in students aged 7:11.

  • Challenging Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, with a focus on narrowing attainment gaps in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Data:Informed Instruction: Use formative assessment and mock data to identify student needs, providing targeted interventions to ensure no child falls behind.
  • Transition Leadership: Support Year 3 students in their move from Infants or guide Year 6 through the emotional and academic journey toward secondary school.
  • Parental Partnership: Maintain transparent, professional communication with families to support the holistic academic and social growth of every pupil.
Essential Requirements

To be considered for this Primary Teaching role, you must meet the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged ).
  • Curriculum Expertise: A strong understanding of the KS2 framework and assessment markers.
  • Classroom Management: The ability to inspire a class of 30+ students while maintaining a focused, high:energy learning environment.
  • Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness ) and a 100 commitment to Safeguarding.
