Your new school

Lift Percy Shurmer is a large two-form entry primary academy that currently has 450 pupils aged from 3 to 11, which also includes 39 children in the Nursery and 22 deaf pupils in our Deaf Learning Base (DLB). The school is led by an ambitious and dedicated Principal, Miss Duffy, who has been with the school since 2015. She has established a strong and personable team and in 2023 were graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, who recognised “parents are overwhelmingly positive about the quality of education their children receive.” They are now looking for an enthusiastic KS2 teacher to teach Year 3.

Your new role

Lift Percy Shurmer is part of Lift Schools, one of the largest MATs in the country, allowing you access to the best training and CPD courses. What you’ll need to succeed

You will be a qualified teacher and be patient and understanding with young children. You’ll be able to quickly adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of all children, and have flexibility to handle unexpected situations with professionalism, patience and a calm demeanour.
