Job summary

New Forest Care is seeking an enthusiastic KS2 class teacher to join our friendly and supportive staff team. Our settings provide a highly individualised curriculum for young people with SEN, SEMH needs, and other barriers to learning, with very small class sizes and strong staff support.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, work effectively as part of a team, inspire students to reach their potential, and show initiative in their own professional development.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Full UK driving licence, and be willing to drive as part of the role to facilitate off-site learning opportunities.
• Experience working with children with SEN as part of classroom practice.

Responsibilities

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner with potential to secure high standards of learning for young people with SEN.
• Work effectively as a member of a team and inspire pupils to achieve.
• Demonstrate initiative and commit to professional development.
• Maintain high expectations and build trust with pupils and colleagues.
• Adopt creative, multi-sensory and dynamic teaching approaches; support early Maths and English learning.
