Job description
KS2 Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Academics are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 HLTA to join our supply team, supporting pupils across a variety of thriving primary schools in Keighley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who enjoys variety, flexibility, and making a real difference in children’s learning.

As a supply KS2 HLTA, you will:
  • Lead small group interventions and deliver pre‑planned lessons when teachers are absent.
  • Support class teachers with planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities.
  • Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all pupils.
  • Encourage pupils’ independence, confidence, and love of learning.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.

The ideal candidate will have HLTA status (or Level 4 equivalent), proven experience in KS2 classrooms, strong organisational and communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
