Supply Desk, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Chinnor, is recruiting an Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a KS2 Class Teacher post starting in September. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned to KS2, support reading, writing and maths, monitor pupil progress, and foster an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

  • Currently completing or recently completed teacher training with QTS.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum from placements.
  • Positive, reflective approach to teaching.
  • Good classroom management for an ECT level.
  • Strong communication and teamwork.
  • Commit to a full-time role in Chinnor from September.

Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Chinnor area to appoint a passionate and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a KS2 Class Teacher position.

This role is exclusively for ECTs and offers an excellent opportunity to begin your teaching career in a nurturing environment, with a strong focus on mentoring, professional development, and career progression.

As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development, helping them build confidence and independence as they progress through Key Stage 2.

You will benefit from a comprehensive ECT induction programme, including ongoing support from experienced teachers and senior leaders.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
  • Support learning and progression in core subjects (reading, writing, and maths)

  • Currently completing or recently completed teacher training (working towards or achieved QTS)
  • A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum developed through placements

  • Good classroom management skills appropriate for an ECT level
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to commit to a full-time role in Chinnor from September
  • KS2 placement experience (Upper or Lower KS2)
  • Awareness of assessment and pupil progress tracking
  • Understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN)
