KS1 Teaching Assistant for a High Performing Primary School in Hillingdon £90 to £105 per day | Full time | Immediate start | Long term

Are you an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant who loves helping children grow in confidence with their early reading, writing and maths? I am working with a brilliant primary school in Hillingdon that is searching for a skilled and nurturing KS1 practitioner to join their Year 1 or Year 2 team.

This is a welcoming school with a supportive SENCO, a hands‑on phase lead and a team who genuinely value collaboration. If you want a role where you can make a visible impact every day this is the perfect match.

About the role
  • Supporting pupils across Year 1 or Year 2 with phonics, reading fluency, writing and basic maths
  • Providing one‑to‑one and small group interventions to help children close learning gaps
  • Supporting pupils with SEND including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and mild behavioural needs
  • Helping pupils build independence, resilience and confidence with classroom routines
  • Working closely with the class teacher to prepare resources, deliver activities and create a positive learning atmosphere
  • Encouraging good learning habits, positive behaviour and emotional regulation throughout the day
What I am looking for
  • Previous experience as a KS1 Teaching Assistant in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of phonics, early reading and KS1 curriculum expectations
  • Confidence supporting SEND pupils, including communication and sensory needs
