Job summary

Class Act is recruiting a KS1 Teacher for flexible short-term and long-term roles in Abingdon and surrounding areas. You will teach Key Stage 1 pupils across a range of subjects and support schools with engaging lessons and inclusive classrooms.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, demonstrate strong KS1 knowledge and excellent classroom management, and are adaptable to teaching across different schools and year groups while upholding safeguarding standards.

• Strong subject knowledge across the KS1 curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Adaptable and confident working across different schools and year groups.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum following provided plans.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Assess and record pupil progress where required.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
• Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to the wider school community.
