Job summary

Milk Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Gateshead to appoint a KS1 Teacher from September. You will deliver engaging lessons in line with KS1 National Curriculum and support all pupils including those with SEND.

This role is full-time, with pay £135-£200+ per day depending on experience. You must have QTS and recent KS1 UK teaching experience, with strong behaviour management and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Recent and relevant UK teaching experience within Key Stage 1 is required.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum.
  • Plan, assess, and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where children feel supported and motivated to learn.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, wellbeing, and pupil achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil progress.
  • Monitor and report on pupil development while following safeguarding and school policies.

KS1 Teacher - Key Responsibilities
