Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Key Stage 1 Supply Teacher to support Year 1 and Year 2 across local primary schools. This role is flexible: Full-Time or Part-Time, Term Time Only, with daily rates of £100–£160 and weekly pay, starting immediately.

The KS1 Specialist will deliver engaging infant-focused lessons, support phonics programmes, and help children transition from EYFS to the National Curriculum, all while avoiding heavy admin and marking burdens.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• KS1 Specialist with deep Year 1/2 curriculum understanding.
• Energetic and proactive with classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willing to apply; safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms with engaging lessons in Literacy, Numeracy and Science.
• Support phonics programmes (Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, etc.) to boost early reading.
• Deliver high-energy lessons with minimal take-home planning or assessments.
• Adapt to different school cultures and implement daily plans confidently.
