Job summary

Education World is currently recruiting passionate KS1 Primary Teachers to support a range of Sunderland primary schools. You will inspire learners, create a welcoming classroom, and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.

This role offers flexible full-time and part-time opportunities, a competitive daily rate of £140–£160, and weekly pay. You will collaborate with teaching assistants, uphold safeguarding standards, and help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent.
• Experience teaching KS1.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Use effective behaviour management strategies.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress.
• Work closely with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
• Follow school policies and maintain safeguarding standards.
