Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a confident and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas. This role covers Year 1 and Year 2 with full-time and part-time opportunities.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has recent UK school experience within the last two years, and can plan engaging lessons for varied learning needs. Strong reading, phonics and maths foundations are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and eligible to work in the UK.
• Recent UK-based school experience within the last two years.
• Experience teaching KS1, ideally Year 1 or Year 2.
• Strong understanding of early reading, phonics and primary Maths.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons for diverse learners.
• Positive behaviour management and classroom organisation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Support pupils with phonics, early reading, writing and foundational Maths.
• Develop pupils' confidence, independence and classroom routines.
• Use practical resources and engaging activities to reinforce learning.
• Assess progress and adapt teaching to meet different abilities.
• Support pupils with SEND and other additional learning needs.
• Establish clear expectations and promote positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and other staff.
• Communicate relevant pupil progress and learning needs.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.

Aspire People are seeking a confident and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

This opportunity is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working with younger primary pupils and understands the importance of establishing strong foundations in reading, writing, Maths and personal development.

You will create a positive classroom environment where children feel confident to participate, develop independence and build the skills they need for future learning.

The Role:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum
• Supporting pupils with phonics, early reading, writing and foundational Maths
• Developing pupils' confidence, independence and classroom routines
• Using practical resources and engaging activities to reinforce learning
• Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet different abilities
• Supporting pupils with SEND and other additional learning needs
• Establishing clear expectations and promoting positive behaviour
• Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other staff
• Communicating relevant pupil progress and learning needs
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has experience teaching KS1, ideally Year 1 or Year 2
• Has a secure understanding of early reading, phonics and primary Maths
• Can plan and deliver lessons that engage pupils with different learning needs
• Demonstrates positive behaviour management and classroom organisation
• Is nurturing, adaptable and committed to pupil progress
