About the role

Heart of Supply are working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools in Lincoln and the surrounding areas, seeking enthusiastic and adaptable KS1 and KS2 Teachers to join them on a supply basis.

This role is ideal for teachers who love the variety that comes with supply teaching, no two days are the same, and every classroom offers a new opportunity to inspire and engage children. You might find yourself supporting early literacy in Year 1 one day, and leading creative writing in Year 5 the next.

As a KS1/KS2 Supply Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality lessons that meet the needs of each class, maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring continuity for pupils in the absence of their class teacher. You’ll have the flexibility to choose your working days while still being part of a supportive network of local schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a range of year groups, build relationships with different schools, and enjoy the freedom and balance that supply teaching provides.

About the school

At Heart of Supply, we’re proud to work with a variety of local schools across Lincoln and the surrounding areas, from nurturing primary classrooms to dynamic secondary environments, and specialist SEND provisions to inclusive multi‑academy trusts. Our partner schools are welcoming, well‑resourced, and committed to creating positive spaces for both pupils and staff. Whether you’re looking to broaden your experience or find your perfect‑fit setting, you’ll have the chance to step into a range of roles that suit your strengths, with our support every step of the way.

What you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent classroom experience teaching in a UK primary school
  • Confidence planning and delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, in line with the National Curriculum
  • A secure understanding of phonics, early reading and numeracy approaches, with the ability to adapt content to suit the needs of each class
  • Strong classroom management skills, creating a calm, positive, and inclusive environment where every child can succeed
  • A nurturing and encouraging approach, building strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and school leaders
  • Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to quickly adapt to new school settings and routines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable manner
What we offer you:
  • Competitive weekly PAYE pay
  • Roles tailored to your lifestyle - day‑to‑day, short‑term or longer term
  • Access to exclusive opportunities in great local schools
  • A friendly, experienced consultant who listens
  • Free CPD and ongoing professional development
  • A simple 'Refer a Friend' scheme
  • A warm, supportive agency that genuinely cares about you and your journey

We’re fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All applicants will undergo thorough vetting, including enhanced DBS (with children’s barred list check and Update Service registration), references, and online checks as part of our compliance process.
