Job summary

Irby Primary School is seeking an excellent classroom practitioner to join our team as a PPA Cover Teacher. You will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 1–4) on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.

This role is suitable for an ECT or teacher on the main pay scale who values variety and a creative curriculum, working with enthusiastic staff and happy pupils in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and be on the main pay scale or an ECT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised, flexible, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across Years 1–4 during PPA time.
• Create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe and valued.
• Adapt teaching to suit KS1 and KS2 and provide feedback to class teachers.
• Maintain strong classroom management in line with school policy.
