Job summary

Long Crendon School is seeking a Primary Phase Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team as soon as possible. The role involves working across key stages, supporting children with SEND and occasionally covering a class.

The successful candidate will have experience with challenging behaviour or trauma, be patient and nurturing, and committed to safeguarding and confidentiality, working well within a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and/or trauma.
• Experience with looked after children is a plus.
• Safeguarding and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work across key stages and with children with SEND.
• Support a class on occasions when required.
• Be a supportive team member focused on pupil wellbeing.

• Ideally has experience of working with previously looked after children.
• Is patient, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Can work well as part of a small, supportive team.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.
