Rowanfield Infant School, part of Gloucestershire Learning Alliance, is seeking a Class Teacher for full-time maternity cover (up to 1 year) starting 1 January 2027. You will deliver high-quality teaching for KS1, plan and assess learning, and support young pupils in a nurturing environment.

The role requires QTS, strong pedagogy, and the ability to collaborate with families and staff. The school offers a supportive team, CPD opportunities, and wellbeing initiatives within a 3-form entry setting.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practices.
• Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils and a commitment to inclusive education.
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Is organised, reflective and committed to continual professional development.
• Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community.
• It would be desirable if you have experience in Early Years Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1, and with assessment-informed planning and diverse needs.
