Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to lead a mixed KS1-KS2 class with pupils working below the national curriculum. This role focuses on learners with complex needs and requires a calm, collaborative, and flexible approach.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
Experience teaching in an SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment.
A calm, empathetic and resilient approach to classroom management is essential.
Passion for inclusive education and supporting every child's progress.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS2 with a focus on complex needs.
Plan, adapt, and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones.
Support pupils' holistic development—academic, social, emotional and communication skills.
Collaborate with the SENCO, learning support staff, therapists and families to provide a consistent approach.
Monitor pupil progress, contribute to reports and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
