Job summary

JD Wetherspoon in Pennington is seeking friendly team players to work in our kitchens. You’ll help prepare and cook food, present dishes to spec, and keep the kitchen running smoothly with a focus on cleanliness, safety and customer service.

No experience is required; training is provided. You’ll benefit from a competitive hourly rate, a free meal and a drink on shifts, generous discounts for you and up to three guests, and opportunities for progression through structured training.

Qualifications

• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Bank account in your own name.
• Be able to converse in English and understand training duties.
• Fixed residence within reasonable travelling distance of the place of work.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec.
• Operating kitchen work stations, including grills, fryers, microwaves and more.
• Working as a team to meet time and quality targets.
• Following food hygiene, allergen, health and safety standards.
• Cleaning as you go and during full kitchen clean-downs.
• Rotating stock and storing food safely.
• Completing induction and ongoing refresher training.
