Job summary

J D Wetherspoon in Southampton is seeking a Kitchen staff member for The Giddy Bridge pub. You will join a busy kitchen to help prepare and cook food, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service. The role offers flexible shifts and a supportive training program.

No experience is required; a good attitude and willingness to learn are valued. Training will be provided, with opportunities across shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Qualifications

• Calm under pressure and able to work in a team.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec.
• Operating kitchen work stations (grills, fryers, microwaves) and more.
• Working as a team to meet time and quality targets.
• Following food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety standards.
• Cleaning as you go and during full kitchen clean-downs.
• Rotating stock and storing food safely.
• Completing required induction and ongoing refresher training.
