Job summary

Premier Inn on the Isle of Wight is hiring a Kitchen Team Member for the Sandown site. This role is 20 hours per week with pay up to £13.06 per hour, based at Merrie Gardens, Newport Rd, Sandown.

You’ll prepare ingredients, cook and plate meals for breakfast and dinner, keep the kitchen clean, receive deliveries and work closely with the hotel team to ensure smooth service. This could be your first kitchen role or a step into hospitality.

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible with shifts, including evenings and busy guest periods.

We're currently recruiting in our Isle of White Sandown (Merrie Garden) Premier Inn. Working 20 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

Kitchen Team Member – Isle of White Sandown (Merrie Garden) Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Hours: 20 contracted hours per week.

Location: Merrie Gardens, Newport Rd, Sandown PO36 9PE

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.
