Job summary

Whitbread in Minehead is hiring a Kitchen Team Member for 18 contracted hours per week, with pay up to £13.06 per hour. The role is based at Minehead Premier Inn and requires preparing, cooking and serving meals as part of the hotel team.

You’ll work evenings, weekends and busy guest periods, with a permanent contract and guaranteed hours. Training and a supportive team environment are offered to help you grow in the role.

We're currently recruiting in our Minehead Premier Inn Hotel. Working 18 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

This Isn’t Just About Cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 18 contracted hours per week.

Location: Minehead Premier Inn, Unit 2 Luttrell Way, Alcombe

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
