Job summary

Slug & Lettuce Southampton, part of Stonegate Group, is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive kitchen standards and mentor a dynamic team. You will assist in food preparation, supervise the kitchen staff in the absence of the Kitchen Manager, and contribute ideas to enhance performance.

This role offers opportunities to develop skills and advance within the Slug & Lettuce family. You will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene and safety standards, overseeing stock and ordering, and

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes to specification for guests.
• Oversee the kitchen team in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies.
• Ensure kitchen remains clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer creative ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill

• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Slug And Lettuce

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen's performance.
• lead the team to achieve company targets.
