Job summary

Slug And Lettuce in London is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to guide and support a kitchen brigade, ensuring consistent quality and efficient operation across meals from breakfast to dinner. You will mentor junior staff, uphold food safety standards, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen environment.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, you will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to drive performance, coordinate stock and menu execution, and contribute to the overall guest experience at this iconic

Qualifications

• Experience in mentoring or supervising a kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of menu items and cooking methods.
• Up-to-date COSHH and Food Safety knowledge.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies management.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer ideas to improve kitchen performance and efficiency.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, do you have…

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill
• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Slug And Lettuce

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader
