Sawmill Restaurant Group is looking for a diligent Dishwasher to support the kitchen team in keeping dishes, utensils, and cookware clean and organized. The role emphasizes adherence to food safety standards and efficient operation in a busy restaurant environment.

The position involves standing for long periods, lifting, and occasional assistance in other kitchen tasks to ensure smooth service and high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher or similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and collaboration with team members.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen cookware efficiently and promptly according to procedures.
• Operate and maintain an industrial dishwasher following established procedures.
• Handle, sort, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment to maintain cleanliness.
• Assist with organization and stocking of clean dishes and cookware for smooth kitchen flow.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing and kitchen area; perform sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal as needed.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Assist in other areas of the restaurant when necessary.
