Job summary

The Richard Hopkins pub in Newton Abbot is hiring a Kitchen staff member. You’ll work as part of a friendly team, preparing and cooking food to high standards. No previous experience is required, just a good attitude and willingness to learn.

We offer flexible shifts, 30 hours per week, a competitive rate (£12.91 per hour), free meal and drink on shifts, 20% food and drink discount, annual holiday, and a bonus scheme. Full training is provided.

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec.
• Operating kitchen work stations, including grills, fryers and microwaves.

• Cleaning as you go and during full kitchen clean-downs.
• Rotating stock and storing food safely.
• Completing required induction and ongoing refresher training.

The role

At a glance, your role is to work as part of a team to prepare and cook food and to help to keep the kitchen running smoothly, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service.

Our pubs open early and close late, so we offer great flexibility with shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Duties Include

• preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec
