Overview

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our fantastic, busy catering team at RHS Garden Wisley on a flexible, casual basis. As a Kitchen Porter, you will be part of a hard‑working, friendly team who all have the same goal – to deliver exceptional customer service to our visitors. RHS Garden Wisley covers 240 acres and is open all year round. There are multiple food outlets on site, ranging from a restaurant to cafés.

Responsibilities and Tasks

As a Kitchen Porter at RHS Wisley, you’ll be an essential part of our catering team, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your main duties will include washing dishes and equipment, keeping the kitchen and storage areas clean and organised, assisting with basic food preparation, and supporting chefs with deliveries and stock rotation. You’ll maintain high hygiene and safety standards at all times, working as part of a friendly and dedicated team to help deliver a great experience for our visitors in one of the UK’s most beautiful garden settings.

Shift & Working Hours

Shifts will vary between Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates should be flexible and able to work weekends. This is a casual role, so hours will vary depending on the needs of the business on a weekly basis. Ideally, as a casual member of the team, you will have availability to work the key events taking place at RHS Garden Wisley for 2025 and next year.
