Job summary

Zizzi Ristorante is hiring a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen clean and efficient during busy service times. You’ll wash dishes, help with basic food prep, and maintain hygiene and safety standards.

A great attitude and energy are all that’s required to join a fast-paced Italian kitchen. Flexible hours are available with a minimum-hour contract, and you’ll be supported by the team as you grow into more senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Wash plates, cutlery and kitchen equipment quickly and safely to support high-volume services.
• Help keep the kitchen spotless and meet hygiene standards.
• Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation and ensure equipment is clean and ready.
• Follow safety guidelines to keep the kitchen organised and a great place to work for everyone.
• Jump in to help teammates to keep restaurant energy high.
• Show genuine interest in how a busy kitchen works and in good Italian food.
• Be a hardworking team player who stays reliable and positive when busy.
• Maintain high food safety standards.
• Be flexible and ready to support the team during busiest times, including evenings and weekends.
