Job summary

Clays is hiring a Kitchen Porter in London to support all areas of the kitchen, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and assist chefs with basic food preparation. You will follow instructions and work efficiently, with progression opportunities through the Clayers Academy.

We welcome self-driven individuals who strive for excellence in hospitality and teamwork, with training provided to develop essential skills and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Level 1 Food Safety Award; training provided.
• COSHH awareness and chemical safety training provided.
• Always looking for opportunities to improve knowledge and abilities.
• Passionate about hospitality and creating amazing experiences.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of the kitchen including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Removing kitchen waste and disposing of it properly.
• Completing weekly cleaning schedule.
• Washing dishes by hand and loading/unloading dishwasher.
• Cleaning cooking equipment like cookers and food mixers.
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation.
• Providing assistance to all kitchen staff as needed.
