Job summary

Hilton Southampton at the Utilita Bowl is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep our kitchen and dining areas sparkling while delivering the warm hospitality our guests expect.

Responsibilities

• This is a fixed-term ending on 31/12/2026, providing valuable experience while supporting the Kitchen team.
• Keep serviceware spotless: clean chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils; scrub pots and pans; polish silver.
• Monitor stock levels: ensure supplies and equipment are well stocked and organized for seamless service.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness: perform cleaning tasks, including mopping and waste removal.
• Support events delivery: prepare and set up clean serviceware for banquets and functions.
• Follow health and safety protocols: handle hazardous substances safely and comply with hygiene regulations.
• Report hazards and maintenance needs: alert supervisor on duty to safety concerns or equipment issues.
• Train and mentor team members: share expertise to strengthen team performance.
