Overview

£14.47 per hour (PAYE) | Short-Term Sickness Cover | Immediate Start


Location

One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5HP


Role Overview


  • Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and food prep areas

  • Operating industrial dishwashers and manual pot wash

  • Assisting chefs with basic prep tasks as required

  • Ensuring stock, deliveries, and waste areas are organised

  • Supporting a smooth kitchen operation during busy service periods

  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene procedures


Mandatory Requirements for Barclays Catering


  • Basic DBS

  • Adverse Credit Check

  • 3 Years Employment History (must be proven via HMRC): https://www.gov.uk/get-proof-employment-history

  • NVQ Level 2 Food Safety

  • Allergen Awareness Certificate

  • Previous kitchen porter or back-of-house experience in catering or hospitality

  • Ability to work safely and quickly in a high-volume kitchen


Pay and Hours


  • Pay: £14.47 per hour (PAYE)

  • Charge rate: £19.28 (for internal use, not advertised)

  • Monday–Friday corporate kitchen hours

  • Short-term sickness cover (up to 4 weeks)
