Job summary

Brunning & Price Limited is seeking a Kitchen Porter for The Old Harkers Arms in Chester to support a busy kitchen and maintain a clean, efficient workspace. You will be part of a friendly team, ensuring smooth service and high standards throughout shifts.

The role offers basic pay up to £12.71 per hour, overtime opportunities, free meals on shift, and staff benefits including pension, discounts, and referrals. Training and progression are encouraged in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as kitchen porter or kitchen assistant preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced pub kitchen.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen area clean and orderly.
• Wash pots, pans and prep area equipment.
• Support chefs during busy service and help with basic prep tasks.

Previous experience as a kitchen assistant, kitchen porter, pot washer or kitchen cleaner in a busy pub, restaurant or hotel is preferred but not essential. Most importantly you will be keen to work in a friendly kitchen where you'll really be part of the team.
