Responsibilities

  • Provide a critical service ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery and cutlery.
  • Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins.
  • Avoid breakages and ensure all dishes are cleaned properly.
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to high hygiene standards.
  • Close down kitchen each day and prepare for the following day.

Overview

We are looking for a Part Time ##employmenttype## Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Astbury Meadow Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range from £10 to £12.25 per hour dependent on age. The hours for this role are 7 hours per week on a Sunday. This is a temporary role only until the end of December 2025.

Responsibilities
  • As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.
  • Using equipment, process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Make sure waste is disposed of using appropriate recycling bins
  • Take care to avoid breakages
  • Ensure all crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before being used
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
  • Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
