Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen by cleaning and maintaining kitchenware, glassware, and cutlery. You will help uphold hygiene standards, manage waste, and keep back-of-house areas tidy to ensure smooth service in a fast-paced venue.

The role requires reliability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends. Training is provided to develop professional skills within a renowned hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliability, discretion, and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitise all kitchen items including pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment according to guidelines and safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas.
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas stay tidy during shifts.
• Follow Food Safety and Health & Safety policies in line with UK regulations (HACCP).
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and SOPs.
• Support kitchen team by replenishing stock and assisting during peak service times.
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages.
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Key duties…

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workspaces and storage areas
• Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately, ensuring bins are emptied and areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift
• Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and practices in line with UK regulations (including HACCP)
• Follow detailed cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Support the kitchen team by replenishing stock, reporting low supplies, and assisting where required during peak service times
• Handle kitchen equipment and items carefully to minimise breakages and maintain inventory integrity
• Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials where required.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.

What We Are Looking For...

A successful Kitchen Porter for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years' experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You'll be reliable, friendly and happy to be a key part of the team that strives for success.
