  • Basic knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver catering, hospitality, and cleaning services to agreed standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and working environment.
  • Support stock management, receiving deliveries, and verifying invoices.
  • Complete paperwork and follow security procedures.
  • Contribute to food preparation and hospitality service as needed.

Job Description:

Join our Sodexo team as a Kitchen Porter at Worthy Down Barracks, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high standards across both kitchen and front-of-house areas. From supporting catering and hospitality to maintaining cleanliness and stock control, you’ll help us provide an outstanding service to our client while driving the business forward.

What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver catering, hospitality, and cleaning services to agreed standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and working environment.
  • Support with stock management, receiving deliveries, and verifying invoices.
  • Complete paperwork, follow security procedures, and report incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to function work, food preparation, and hospitality service as required.
  • Ensure waste management and health & safety standards are followed at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers to deliver excellent service.
  • Take part in training, team meetings, and performance reviews to support your development.

  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Well-organised, adaptable, and resilient with an eye for detail.
