Job summary

Rick Stein Restaurants is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, support chefs with basic prep, and assist with deliveries while upholding high hygiene standards. A positive attitude and team spirit are essential as you grow with our hospitality group.

Full training is provided, and we offer staff meals, discounts across our brands, and clear progression paths within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen porter experience is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to follow hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication with team and chefs.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently.
• Wash dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation when needed.
• Maintain hygiene, health & safety, and food safety standards at all times.
• Assist with deliveries, waste management and stock organisation.
• Be a positive, collaborative team member in a busy kitchen.

What you’ll be doing

• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, andrunning efficiently
• Washing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipmentto a high standard
• Supporting the chefs with basic food prep whenneeded
• Maintaining hygiene, health & safety, andfood safety standards at all times
• Helping with deliveries, waste management, andstock organisation
• Being a key team player in a fast-paced,professional kitchen

The Seafood Restaurant was the first restaurant opened by Rick Stein and Jill Stein in 1975. The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is famous for establishing an international reputation for the very freshest fish and shellfish, often landed on our doorstep. In the centre of the restaurant is a Seafood Bar where guests can enjoy watching chefs assembling platters of oysters, langoustines and sashimi.
