Job summary

Zizzi in Scotland is looking for a Kitchen Porter to help keep the busy kitchen clean and organised, enabling our chefs to shine. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, buzzing team and play a key role in delivering great Italian cuisine with high standards.

No experience is required. Bring energy and a strong work ethic, plus a willingness to get involved. The role offers flexible hours, free meals on shift, a 50% discount when off duty, and chances to progress toward Chef or Kitchen Management.

Responsibilities

• Wash plates, cutlery and kitchen equipment quickly and safely to keep services running smoothly.
• Help keep the kitchen spotless and ensure hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Assist with basic food prep and ensure equipment is clean and ready when needed.
• Follow safety guidelines to keep the kitchen organised and a positive workplace.
• Support teammates to maintain high restaurant energy during peak times.

As a Zizzi Kitchen Porter, you'll create the organised, clean workspace that lets our chefs and food shine. What you’ll do:

• Wash plates, cutlery, and kitchen equipment quickly and safely to keep our high-volume services running smoothly.
• Help keep the kitchen spotless, making sure every station hits our strict hygiene standards.
• Assist the kitchen team with basic food prep and ensure all equipment is clean and ready when needed.
• Follow our simple safety guidelines to keep the kitchen organised and a great place to work for everyone.
• Jump in to help your teammates wherever needed to keep the restaurant energy high.
