Job summary

White Rabbit Hospitality is seeking a Kitchen Porter for Rusacks St Andrews to support a fast-paced kitchen and keep the pass and prep areas clean and well-stocked. You will work with a team that values hospitality, hygiene, and teamwork in a historic Scottish setting.

We offer an OTE hourly rate of £14.20 per hour, with on-the-job training and opportunities to progress into chef roles within the group. You’ll be part of a growing UK-wide hospitality group known for communities and kindness.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and the energy to keep pace during a busy service.
• A genuine sense of pride in cleanliness and order.
• A willingness to learn and a positive, team first attitude.
• Reliability and good timekeeping.
• The ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
• Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not essential, we will train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Washing and cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots and kitchen equipment to a consistently high standard
• Keeping the kitchen, wash up area and storage spaces clean, tidy and compliant at all times
• Supporting the chefs with basic food preparation when needed
• Receiving, checking and storing deliveries correctly, rotating stock and reporting shortages
• Managing waste and recycling responsibly and keeping bin areas clean
• Following all health, safety and food hygiene procedures
• Being a reliable, positive presence who helps service flow from prep through to close

What Will You Be Doing?
