Job summary

Sodexo Live! is seeking a Kitchen Porter in Horley, United Kingdom. You will help maintain high hygiene standards, clean heavy catering equipment, manage waste, and support a fast-paced catering operation at events and venues.

Prior Kitchen Porter experience, a can-do attitude, and good communication are essential. The role requires some flexibility and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hygiene, safety and cleanliness comply with regulations.
• Clean allocated heavy catering equipment per instructions.
• Empty bins and separate waste according to regulations.
• Dispose of waste materials to designated compactors.
• Operate industrial dishwashers and glasswashers.
• Transport provisions and catering items as required.
• Maintain a clean working environment at all times.

Package Description

• £13.90 per hour
• 35 hours per week

Must be able to provide 5-year checkable work history for airport clearance

Main Responsibilities

• To ensure that the Company's and statutory regulations regarding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are complied with and all tasks undertaken according to Safeguard regulations.
• To clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Empty bins and ensure waste is separated as per the regulations
• To dispose of waste materials from catering areas to designated compactors
• To operate industrial dishwashers and glasswashers in all catering areas.
• To transport provisions, equipment and other catering related items as required.
• To maintain clean working environment at all times, with special regard to hygiene
