Monday - Friday, 6:30am-3:30pm

The Role

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our CPU. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced, wellness‑led catering environment, supporting our kitchen team and helping maintain a high standard of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the actions and decisions of Management in daily kitchen operations
  • Work efficiently to help maintain a productive kitchen environment
  • Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment according to procedures
  • Clean and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, utensils, work surfaces, ovens, sinks, floors, walls, cupboards, grease filters, and grease traps
  • Maintain cleanliness of staff areas and rubbish disposal
  • Assist with stocktaking of crockery, glassware, cutlery, and utensils when required
  • Wear protective clothing and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance
  • Comply fully with Health & Safety regulations, including hygiene standards and COSHH
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
  • Receive and unpack deliveries, store items correctly, and help organise stock in storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Keep kitchen and storage areas tidy and organised, ensuring all equipment is clean and stored properly
About You
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of Pow Food’s philosophy and passion for supporting workplace wellbeing
  • Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and Health & Safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high standards
  • Organised, proactive, and willing to support management and kitchen team
  • Professional, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues
