WatchHouse in London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to help keep the kitchen clean, organized and running smoothly. You will support the team with prep tasks and frontline hygiene, ensuring surfaces, floors and equipment meet high standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen surfaces, sinks, stoves and walls clean, sanitized, and safe.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors at start/end shifts and as needed.
• Wash crockery, cookware, utensils, and cutlery to keep them in rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas when required.
• Follow cleaning schedules and manage refuse and recycling.
• Take out rubbish promptly and responsibly.
• Assist with routine food prep tasks when needed.

As a Kitchen Porter at WatchHouse, you play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen. From ensuring cleanliness and hygiene to supporting the team with essential prep work, you’ll be the backbone of our busy kitchens. Key Reports: House Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep all kitchen work surfaces, including counters, sinks, stoves, and walls, clean, sanitized, and safe for use.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors at the start and end of shifts, and as needed throughout the day.
• Quickly and efficiently wash crockery, cookware, utensils, and cutlery to keep them in active rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in food and supply storage areas when required.
• Follow cleaning schedules, ensure refuse and recycling are handled properly, and adopt a ‘clean as you go’ approach.
• Take out rubbish and recycling promptly and responsibly.
• Support the kitchen team with routine food prep tasks such as peeling, chopping, or other simple tasks when needed.
