We are now looking for a Kitchen Operations & Compliance Coordinator to join our Kitchen team to support this culinary destination.

Your role

As our Kitchen Operations & Compliance Coordinator at The Standard you will be key to supporting all aspects of the planning, training, and compliance for our exceptional kitchen teams as they deliver an extensive food service across Decimo, Isla, Double Standard, The Library Lounge, In-Room Dining, Events, high-profile pop-ups, and guest chef collaborations.

You will of course have an exceptional working knowledge of kitchen operations and compliance, be passionate about food, extremely well-organised and proactive, and have a talent for collaboration, project management, and clear communication that will get the very best out of our teams across the hotel.

  • A proven track record in kitchen operations and food and beverage compliance, in a similar high-volume and fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional working knowledge of kitchen operations and compliance for Food Safety and Health & Safety
  • Highly motivated and pro-active; act with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience in recipes, costing new dishes, and menu change planning
  • Experience in rota planning, Fourth hospitality, Mapal One management, and recruitment for kitchens
  • Experience training new employees, and managing the training matrix for Kitchen teams
  • Confidence coordinating Food Safety and Health & Safety bi-weekly walk arounds, and experience contributing to a Health & Safety and Food Safety committee
  • Experience managing maintenance in kitchens, updating supplier Salsa accreditation
  • Strong skills in writing and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Drive effective communication between management, departments and relevant stakeholders for smooth project management
  • Excellent people skills that will foster good working relationships across all hotel departments, encouraging inter-department support and creative thinking
  • Display a passionate, fun and enthusiastic approach that will inspire the team and create an enjoyable, cohesive and supportive working environment
