Job description
Overview

Roche Health Care are looking for a Kitchen Manager for our Tudor House Care Home in Selby, North Yorkshire. Hours: 41hrs (gross) / 38.5 hours paid, 07:00-15:00, alternate weekends. Salary: Negotiable.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and serve quality meals and refreshments for people within the care home, ensuring specialist diets are catered for.
  • Maintain documentation of all food ordered and served.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and store areas along with all equipment.
  • Order stock and maintain stock control within set budgets.
  • Manage and supervise kitchen staff to ensure their roles are adhered to by guidelines set by the company, health and safety and environmental health.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience is required; however, working in an environment for older people is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Qualification - NVQ or 706/1, 706/2 is preferred but not essential.
  • You will be required to work alternative weekends.
  • Shifts are daytime only, so no evening or night work is required.
