Kitchen Manager - Head Chef

  • Location: Wimborne, Dorset
  • Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
  • Salary: PAYE £16.48ph - Umbrella £21.48ph

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations, creating delicious, ethically sourced food that celebrates local, organic produce and brings people together.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Design and implement seasonal menus that utilise local and organic produce.
  • Manage procurement, stock control, and kitchen budget to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Uphold strict food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a diverse kitchen team, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment.
  • Collaborate with farm and shop teams to maximise the use of seasonal produce and champion sustainability initiatives to reduce food waste.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • NVQ Level 1–3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a kitchen leadership role.
