Job summary

HR GO Recruitment seeks reliable Kitchen Extraction Cleaners to service commercial catering sites in Gillingham, Kent. This hands-on, site-based role emphasizes safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance.

You will clean, service and maintain extraction systems, work at height and in confined spaces, and keep detailed service records. TR19 knowledge is ideal; flexibility with hours is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience cleaning, servicing and maintaining commercial kitchen extraction systems.
• Knowledge of TR19 guidance is ideal and experience with compliance requirements.
• Competent in using cleaning chemicals, pressure washers and extraction tools.
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces; follow safe working procedures.
• Good practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends).
• Strong communication skills and ability to complete accurate service documentation.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen extraction systems including canopies, ductwork, filters, grease traps and fan units.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
• Perform deep cleans in line with industry best practice and guidance.
• Remove grease and debris safely, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Complete site risk assessments, method statements and maintain accurate service records.
• Work at height and access confined spaces safely using ladders, harnesses or mobile access platforms as required.
• Report defects, recommend repairs or replacement parts and liaise with maintenance teams where necessary.
• Maintain PPE, tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safe storage.

We are seeking reliable, experienced Kitchen Extraction Cleaners to join a team servicing commercial catering sites. The role involves cleaning, servicing and maintaining kitchen extraction systems to ensure safety, hygiene and regulatory compliance. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role requiring attention to detail, strong health and safety awareness and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen extraction systems including canopies, ductwork, filters, grease traps and fan units
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently
