Job description

Overall Purpose: To work within the Academy Catering team providing a comprehensive and quality service to all staff, students and visitors to the Darlington College sites.

Specific Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks and servicing of catering kitchens, including restock of dispensers, cloths and towels
• Movement of catering stock to designated stores and service points within campus and other outlets
• Removal of various waste streams to appropriate bin compound
• Ensuring that service fridges are stocked at key times of the day
• Complete laundry duties including processing and delivering cloths etc
• Periodic deep cleaning of key catering equipment such as fryers and ovens
• Clearing and servicing of tables in the dining area

General Responsibilities

• Compliance with all statutory requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the College Health and Safety Policy and any other relevant procedures
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Line Manager commensurate with the grade of the post

• Complete mandatory training either virtual or in person
• Physical tasks such as moving cages and stock around the site will be a significant part of the duties
