Kitchen Assistants (Night Shift)

Location : Dundee

Salary : £10.00 – £12.21 per hour (rate depends on age and experience in line with National Minimum Wage guidelines)

Night Shift Premium : An additional £1.00 per hour for all hours worked between 11 : 00 pm and 6 : 00 am.

Contract : Full-time & part-time positions available.

Availability : Candidates must be available to work five days out of seven within a 7 : 00 pm to 3 : 30 am window, with a fixed Saturday as a rest day.

As this is a fresh project started just recently, you will be joining at a pivotal time. This unit is the central heart of our fresh food operation, responsible for supplying every Greens store across Scotland. As part of this vital night‑shift team, you will ensure that customers across the country can enjoy fresh, high‑quality food every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and assembling a high volume of fresh rolls, salads, sandwiches, and ready meals for nationwide distribution—with many more exciting product lines to be added as this project grows.
• Ensuring all products are expertly packed, labelled, and ready for dispatch to our stores across Scotland.
• Maintaining rigorous standards of consistency so that every Greens meal meets our high‑quality benchmarks.
• Managing large‑scale ingredient rotation to guarantee freshness while minimising waste holding elite food safety standards within a high‑output production environment.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate :

• A strong work ethic and the stamina to thrive in a high‑volume production setting.
• A positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude with the ability to maintain speed and accuracy throughout the night.
• A collaborative spirit—you’ll be a key link in the chain that keeps our stores stocked.
• A firm commitment to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Previous experience in a food production unit or high‑volume catering environment is a bonus but not required.
