Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our support services team. You will help the Chefs with daily kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness, and perform general kitchen duties to ensure smooth kitchen running within the care home.

You will follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines, participate in training, and help cater for special events. The role offers opportunities for growth as we invest in staff development and internal training.

As members of the support services team, our Kitchen Assistants help the Chefs with the daily operations of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and performing general kitchen tasks to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly in the care home. Our Kitchen Assistants adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as follow all necessary COSHH and HACPP guidelines. Additionally, you will be involved in catering for special events at the home, such as the annual summer fayres.

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who is passionate about food and dedicated to providing high-quality service at every meal. Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must, as well as experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
