Job summary

Colten Care’s Newstone House in Sturminster Newton, Dorset, is seeking a Kitchen Porter. You will help maintain a clean kitchen, support the chef, and contribute to nutritious daily menus using fresh local ingredients to enhance residents' health and well-being.

This role is 24.5 hours per week, with alternate weekends and paid breaks. We offer comprehensive induction, ongoing support, and clear career progression within a family-owned care home group known for its excellent reputation.

Introduction

We’re looking for a reliable and committed Kitchen Porter to join our team and become a valued part of day-to-day life in our home, Newstone House in Sturminster Newton, Dorset.

You’ll take pride in your role, settling for nothing less than spotless dishes, cutlery and kitchen equipment, helping maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

You’ll support the chef to offer a consistent, nutritious daily menu using fresh local produce and ingredients, helping make a meaningful difference to the health and well‑being of our residents each and every day.
