A charitable organization is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for their Devon farm. The role involves preparing nutritious meals for groups of up to 39 children and adults. Candidates should ideally have experience in kitchen environments and be able to cater to various dietary requirements while maintaining high food hygiene standards. This full-time position offers 25 days annual leave and additional perks such as a pension scheme.

Salary – £22,223
Contract – Full time (35 hours per week), Fixed term (maternity cover until 6 March 2026)
Farms for City Children offers children and young people a week in the heart of the British countryside staying on one of our farms, where they are immersed in the natural world of food, farming, and country life. During their stay, they participate in the seasonal tasks of the day: sowing, growing and harvesting in our kitchen gardens, caring for livestock and looking after the land, and a variety of tasks designed to build greater connection with the natural world.
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team on our Devon farm.
The busy kitchen provides three nutritious meals each day to a large residential accommodation for groups of up to 39 children and their accompanying adults. The person in this role will work closely with the Kitchen team to ensure the needs of resident groups are met and that the highest standards of nutrition, food quality, food hygiene and food safety are maintained. We pride ourselves on being able to cater for a full range of dietary needs and cultural differences.
